Terms of Service for SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB

Welcome to the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB PLATFORM, a service provided by Samsung Asia Pte. Ltd. (“SAMSUNG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB PLATFORM is an online learning tool designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and effectiveness of educators in their professional roles.

By accessing or using the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB, you (“educator,” “user”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB PLATFORM.

1. Account Registration and Data Sharing

Educators must register for an account on the Samsung LEARNING HUB using their personal information. This account is created independently by the educator and linked to the school or organization they are affiliated with.

The following personal information may be collected during registration: First Name, Last Name, Email Address, School name, Province/State, City, Country, Time zone and Specialisation. If you find any inaccuracies in your data, please update it through the platform’s support channels.

Data collected will be used solely for the purpose of:

  • Enhancing the learning experience through personalized course recommendations.
  • Providing access to relevant educational resources;
  • Supporting platform functionality and reporting.

Samsung may share your personal data and learning progress data with the school or organisation under which you have registered. This data sharing is intended to facilitate monitoring and improvement of professional development initiatives by your school or organisation.

2. Use of the Service

You agree to use the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB responsibly and professionally. You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or policies;
  • Infringe on the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or contractual rights;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB or any services associated with SAMSUNG
    • or its partners;
  • Transmit or upload viruses, malware, or any other harmful or malicious code or content;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any accounts, data, or systems;
  • Harass, abuse, defame, threaten, or harm any other users or persons;
  • Post or distribute content that is obscene, pornographic, violent, hateful, discriminatory, or objectionable;
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • Use the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB for any commercial purposes without prior written consent.

We reserve the right to monitor platform usage and to suspend or terminate your account if we determine that you have violated these Terms or any other SAMSUNG policies.

3. Content and Intellectual Property Rights

The content and materials available on the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB, including courses, videos, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software (collectively, the “Content”), are the property of Samsung or its licensors. You may access and use the Content solely for your personal and non-commercial educational purposes on the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB. You may not modify, copy, reproduce, distribute, transmit, display, perform, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any Content without prior written consent.

Some portions of the platform may include links to external training platforms or services operated by third parties. Content or materials available on these external platforms are governed by the respective third-party terms of use and are not the responsibility of Samsung. You should review the terms of use and privacy policies of these external platforms before accessing their content.

You may not:

  • Modify, copy, reproduce, distribute, transmit, display, perform, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any Samsung-owned Content without prior written consent;
  • Use the Content for unauthorized commercial purposes;
  • Use any third-party Content in violation of the third-party terms of use.

Samsung is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of content on external platforms.

We do not endorse or assume responsibility for User Content posted by other educators. We reserve the right to remove or disable access to any User Content at our discretion.

SAMSUNG does not assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or terms of use of such third-party websites or services. Access to and use of third-party websites or services are undertaken at your own risk, and we strongly encourage you to review their privacy policies and terms of service before engaging with them.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, availability, security, or reliability. We do not guarantee that the platform will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. You use the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB at your own risk.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your account and all associated data will no longer be accessible.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Samsung will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or unauthorized access to your information;
  • Service interruptions, including delays or failures in platform performance;
  • Errors, bugs, or inaccuracies in the content or functionality;
  • Issues related to third-party platforms or services linked through the platform.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the platform is to discontinue using it.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Samsung, its affiliates, and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use or misuse of the SAMSUNG LEARNING HUB;
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable laws;
  • Your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of a third party.
